Quick update

Well, I'm not in New Zealand yet, but I leave in 90ish hours to do so. Am I excited? Yes, but no. It hasn't fully hit me that I'm leaving Olin, flying halfway across the world, moving into a flat with a group of people I don't know, spending a semester away from the matsci lab, chocolate chip muffins, blizzards, and Texans who just beg me to mock their state, going somewhere where I'm going to know precisely zero people, and figuring out how to not make a fool of myself by getting lost, drunk, or just plain confused. Sounds like fun. Sounds like yet another recipe for misadventures, excitement, and hilariously emo emails to Emily (can I get some cookie dough points for alliteration?).

Anyways, I thought I should probably post a few words of explanation. Those of you who know me are probably noticing that my current style of writing is strangely lacking in some of my favorite colorful metafors and words that I wouldn't say in a church. My parents are reading this. Chances are most of my relatives, including a few grandparents also are. Thus, what you're reading is probably not the full story, and the best details have probably been censored out. If you really want to know what's going on, shoot me an email, bethsterling at gmail dot com. Because trust me, if you want to know what I'm like when I'm finally in a place where my age > legal ethanol consumption age, it's not getting posted here.
